Cenote San Ignacio
Today we went to Cenote San Ignacio. We were a bit misled by the website, but it was still fun. The website showed the place as being more of a resort then it was. It promised horseback riding, beautiful palapas, wading pools, and of course the cenote. There were no horses, just a small pen containing a few goats. There were palapas but nothing like what was pictured. When we first arrived, we paid the little old lady behind the counter our 40 pesos admission fee and then walked into the courtyard/backyard where we learned that the lady was apparently a skilled web page designer. The cenote was just as nice as advertised, so in the end it was well worth the 40 pesos. It was completely underground and was shallow enough in some parts to stand and deep enough in other parts that you were unsure of just how deep it was. Tomorrow we get to go to the cenotes at Cuzama, which are plenty of fun.
